The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control has scheduled a public informational meeting for property owners and residents of Folly Beach, S.C. The meeting agenda includes presentations and structured discussion pertaining to beachfront management options to address chronic and episodic erosion, jurisdictional authority ofFederal, State and local agencies, and a review of actions and activities that are allowable and prohibited by law. Representatives from the US Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Folly Beach will also be in attendance to discuss their roles and responsibilities related to beachfront management and the protection of property and infrastructure.
