Always known as a blues destination, Bowens Island kicks it up a notch during the Piccolo Spoleto festival with their “Blues on the Dock” series. This year looks to be another outstanding concert series with a mixture of young and old, mostly local, and always wailing blues bands. Bowens Island is located near Folly Beach, just before the merge on Folly Road.

Stained Glass Wall & The Wyatt Garey Band
Do you like the guitar? Stained Glass Wall’s Everett Bigbee has few peers on the instrument. Rhythm guitarist Scott Freeman has one of the best voices I have ever heard. The rest of the band really does the rest. Wyatt Garey is an 18-year-old blues guitarist with the chops of someone three times his age.
