The 2011 Folly Beach Wahine Classic surf competition will be held June 18 & 19 at the Washout on Folly Beach.  Below is information about the event and a link to the Schedule of Events:

Friday
6-8 pm. at the Tides on Folly Beach ocean deck
Pre-Check in get-together. Kona beer special, appetizers, get your wrist band, contest schedule, goody bag & wahine t-shirt.

Saturday
7am- Contest set up at the Washout.
8am- 2011 Folly Beach Wahine Classic first heat goes in the water.
4pm- Hopefully we will be finished for the day.
Channel Islands Demo bus will be there with lots Channel Islands Surfboards to try!

Saturday night
6-8 pm. yes, it’s an early bird party!
Rita’s Seaside Grill on Center Street- free for Competitors-8.00 donation for friends and family.. Music by Malandro Soul.

Sunday
8am 2011 Folly Beach Wahine Classic first heat goes in the water.

Surfrider Foundation Charleston Chapter will help us celebrate International Surfing Day on Sunday afternoon during the Wahine contest.
Join us on the beach for FAMILY FUN GAMES. Ladder Ball, Cornhole, Bocci and Limbo and lots of free stuff to give out to all who attend. Bring the family and celebrate the art of surfing at Folly Beach!!

Sunday is also Father’s Day! Bring your Dad to the beach 🙂

The last event of the day on Sunday will be the ever popular Push n Surf!
Child must be registered in advance & attend the safety circle.
Parent or capable adult must go in the water to assist your child.
SAFETY FIRST!
Look out for the other children & don’t get all crazy!
This is a fun parent/child surf session, not a formal surf lesson.
All push n surfers will get a prize and a wahine t-shirt.

There are stll a few openings in some of our divisions, so please be sure to make it to the check-in party at the Tides on Friday night if you want to get in on the fun.
