Please join us for Band Together for ALS, an all day music festival with a mission to raise awareness and funding for the South Carolina ALS Association.

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), otherwise known as Lou Gherig’s disease, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement.  Over time, people with ALS progressively lose the ability to function and care for themselves as the body’s nerves and muscles slowly die.

ALS is a fatal disease and currently has no cure.  Death often occurs within 3-5 years of diagnosis.

Band Together for ALS will be held on the beautiful waterfront of Bowen’s Island, on James Island, Sunday June 26.  Gates open at 11:00 AM, music starts at noon.

Food vendors, craft artists, and beverages will be available for purchase on site.  Please no coolers.  Must show ID for alcohol purchases.  Handicap accessible venue with facilities and parking available on site.

Tickets are $15/in advance, $20/at the gate, children 12 and under are free.  Tickets are available for purchase online at http://www.scalsa.org/, or visit Monster Music in West Ashley, Bert’s Market on Folly Beach, or the Piggly Wiggly on Folly Road.

Sponsored by the Bridge 105.5, Rick Hendrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Sable Homes, N8 Audio Studio, Taco Boy, Groovy Shaved Ice, Roti Rolls, The ALS Association, Plowground Productions, and Robert Barber of Bowens Island Restaurant.
