2012 Folly Beach Christmas Parade Saturday December 8th, 1 PM. We’re making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out who’s naughty or nice at the annual Folly Beach Christmas Parade. Come out for a family friendly event with many of Folly’s businesses and organizations as they parade down Center St. in festive holiday floats. There will be monetary awards and trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as most original, funky Folly, best golf cart, best beach theme, and best alternative transportation. You can meet Santa at the Folly River park following the parade as well as see the mayor hand out the awards.
Participants can begin to lineup on the causeway behind the sign “parade lineup here” at 11:00. Participants who wish to compete for a trophy, must have the name of their float, group, etc. written on a banner in letters large enough for the judges to clearly see in front of City Hall. Please no santa costumes or political signs.
