There are many great areas on Folly Beach to buy a lot or vacant land and build a home. Folly Beach is divided into the East Side and West Side with the East Side being popular and more traveled. On the East Side, East Arctic Avenue is the oceanfront road, and moving to the river in order, is East Ashley Avenue, East Cooper Avenue, East Erie Avenue, East Hudson Avenue, East Huron Avenue, and East Indian Avenue. If seclusion is what you are looking for than you may want the West Side. On the West Side, West Ashley Avenue is the oceanfront road, followed by West Cooper Avenue, West Hudson Avenue,West Indian Avenue, and Shadow Race Lane. West Beach Court is a secluded cul-de-sac community of about 30 homes, and West 9th Street winds through homesites back to the Sunset Cay Marina. Sunset Point is a very quiet neighborhood on the Folly River side of the West side of the island. In most of this neighborhood, city water and sewer is at the homesite. Most of Folly Beach does not have city sewer, which forces the installation of a septic tank. There are opportunities for waterfront property including deepwater access on both the East and West sides. If you want help navigating the options for buildable lots on Folly Beach, I am the expert.
