You’re coming to visit Folly Beach, and you are wondering where to get the best burger on the island? Center Street is filled with restaurants, offering everything from fish tacos, seafood, and pizza, but suprisingly very few outstanding burgers. We are not talking run of the mill bar burgers, which you will find everywhere. We are talking, big, juicy burgers with custom gourmet toppings. These are the two places to hit during your visit to Folly:
Rita’s Seaside Grill

Rita’s has a number of great dishes, but the burgers are the centerpiece. Large, hand pattied burgers are cooked to your liking, and the menu offers an excellent variety of topping combinations. My favorite is the Cantina burger, with charred red onions, jack cheese, and guacamole. Other favorites are the bacon and pimento cheese burger, the black and blue, and the Reuben burger. The Bistro burger comes with grilled Portobellos, crispy onions, blue cheese and steak sauce. You will be happy with whatever you decide to go with. These are the most memorable burgers on the island.
Planet Follywood

Planet Follywood is known as the place the locals go on Folly, and the burgers are one of the reasons. The Cowboy burger is my favorite, with bacon, an onion ring, pepper jack cheese, and BBQ sauce. The Alamo with jalapenos, salsa, cheddar, and jack cheese is another great choice as well as the roasted garlic cheddar burger with a house secret recipe of spices.
